Acorn Shores Resort

The price of your stay at Acorn Shores Resort includes access to two separate buildings on the same lot. In addition to the comfortable and spacious bedrooms, you will have access to all the resort's amenities and facilities, including 2 full coffee bars, indoor wood burning fireplace (with firewood included), 2 outdoor fire pits,2 kayaks, 2 docks, hot tub, a canoe, grill, spacious decks with plenty of outdoor seating, and more. Whether you're looking to relax, entertain, or explore, Acorn Shores has everything you need for an unforgettable getaway. 

Yes, ample parking for both trailers and vehicles is available, and there is a round-about for turning trailers around.  In winter, there will be access to an additional roadside trailer parking space.

While there may be few harmless insects that get through our defenses and into the house, both homes are regularly treated to minimize the presence of spiders, mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects.

The depth at the end of our dock is approximately 4 ft and suitable for boaters who wish to dock their boats.  The length of the dock is currently 16 ft.

Our grill is a combination of charcoal and smoker, perfect for preparing delicious and succulent smoked meals for the entire family. Our goal is to keep vacation simple and stress-free for Mom! :-)  A small supply of charcoal is kept on site and is available on a first come, first served basis.  

Our neighbors are 150 ft away and are retirees. Our homes are separated by a forested area. The no-wake rule on McClain Lake creates a peaceful and quiet environment.  For more recreational boating activities, access the other lakes on the Tiger Cat chain through the navigable channel to Upper Twin.

Early check-ins and late check-outs are available upon request and subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure a seamless and stress-free arrival and departure experience. Early check-ins before 2 PM will incur an additional $35 charge/hour requested.

Dogs are welcome at all Wildwood Escapes Properties.  All dogs on the property are expected to be well-behaved, good around unfamiliar people, and non-aggressive.  All dogs must be registered with the completion of a dog agreement. An extra cleaning fee of $100/dog applies to preserve the cleanliness of the property for the next guests.  Large Coolaro dog beds, a variety of chew toys, treats, bowls, and doggie bags are provided. This property has a limit of 2 dogs unless otherwise approved.

50% of your total is due at the time of booking to reserve your dates.  30 days prior to check-in, your card will be charged for the remainder of your balance.  Should you need to cancel, please let us know at least 30 days prior to your stay and you will receive a 97% refund on anything paid (we recoup 3% of what is paid to cover credit card costs).  We also offer and encourage trip insurance after booking for guests who would like that extra peace of mind.
